Heather Mantell serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Communitas and brings more than 15 years of experience in human services, workforce development, and community-based support. Known for her collaborative leadership style, she is passionate about creating opportunities that empower individuals with disabilities and strengthen communities.
Throughout her career, Heather has led programs focused on employment, community inclusion, and family support, with expertise in strategic planning, operations, team development, and service quality. Her approach centers on building strong relationships with individuals, families, staff, community partners, and state agencies while ensuring services remain responsive, innovative, and person-centered. She is committed to fostering partnerships and creating opportunities that help individuals thrive.
Heather holds a degree in Sociology and Psychology from the University of Maine and is proud to lead an organization dedicated to supporting individuals of all abilities and their families.
Outside of work, Heather enjoys spending time with family and friends, relaxing at the beach, and taking walks along the shore with her husband and their Chocolate Lab, Quinn.
