Talkspace Go Webinar Schedule (posted 3/20/25)

Did you know that you can access a variety of free virtual webinars from Talkspace Go as part of your free EAP benefit through Communitas? Take a look at the attachment to see some of the live webinars they are offering in April. The topics are designed to improve your mental health and wellbeing. These live, online group classes are therapist-led, anonymous and free.

There are new classes every month covering a broad range of topics related to work, family, relationships, and mental health. Simply review the classes, decide which you may want to take, and register for the classes in advance through the Talkspace Go app. Or simply sign on to the app on the date and time of the classes to join.

  • Don’t yet have the app? Download it for free from the Apple App store or Google Play or Scan the QR Code below.
  • Sign up and create an account
  • Enter the organization’s code: ESIEAP
  • Once registered, review the calendar, and click the links for the classes that you want to take

The EAP is a free and confidential benefit paid for by Communitas that all employees and their family members can access. If you haven’t had time to check it out, head over to www.theEAP.com to see all the great resources they provide.

Ordering Free COVID-19 Tests & Vaccine Incentive (posted 10/1/24)

As cold and flu season approaches, we’ve noticed an uptick in COVID-19 cases. As of late September 2024, U.S. households are eligible to order 4 free at-home COVID-19 tests through USPS.

We encourage everyone to order these free rapid tests to have on hand, and feel free to share this resource with family and friends!  Each order includes 4 rapid antigen COVID-19 tests (Visit COVIDTests.gov for details about at-home tests, extended shelf life, and updated expiration dates.), and orders will ship for free.  Order your free tests here: https://special.usps.com/testkits

If you don’t have tests at home, you can use this link to find no-cost COVID testing locations nearby: https://testinglocator.cdc.gov/Search.

Additionally, any employee who provides proof of receiving a COVID-19 vaccine or booster between 9/1/24 and 11/15/24 will receive a $25 Amazon gift card! To find a vaccine or booster location near you, check this link: https://www.vaccines.gov/en/

James Campbell Welcome Letter (posted 8/28/24)

 Dear Colleagues,

I am very happy to let you all know that as of September 3, 2024, Dr. James Campbell, Jr. will be joining the Communitas family as its next CEO. Dr. Campbell has had an outstanding 24-year career as a leader and teacher in Developmental Disabilities. Over the past 8 plus years, James has served as Executive Director for Community Systems, Inc. overseeing programs in Virginia and Massachusetts.

James will be joining Communitas in a “co-CEO” role with me through December as part of a transition to my impending retirement, and while we search for a new Director of Finance, laying a strong foundation for the future of this wonderful organization!

Over the coming months, we will be announcing numerous opportunities for James to meet our community of employees, individuals, families, and stakeholders. Please join me in welcoming James and letting him know how happy we are to have him join us!

With great hopes for our future, and appreciation for our history!

We are happy to introduce a new, free EAP benefit for you and any family or household members aged 13 and up: Talkspace Go.  Talkspace Go is a popular therapy app that can improve your mental health and wellbeing in just 5 minutes a day. Get private help for relationships, parenting, depression, anxiety, stress, burnout, trust, career, and much more with self-guided, interactive courses. The app also offers optional weekly counselor-led classes, journaling, meditation exercises, assessments, and additional resources.  We’ve included a flyer so you can learn more about how to access this great new benefit!  The flyer also includes our Talkspace Go code: ESIEAP, which you will needwhen creating your account.
