Cara Duggan received her BA in Theater from UMass Amherst and MA in Dramaturgy from Catholic University, before deciding to make a career change. Utilizing the skills of working with groups and thinking on your feet that she gained in theater, she took a job at a Skills Instructor at Communitas in 2012.
Cara has worked as an Instructor and a Case Manager, before eventually moving into an Assistant Director position. During her time at Communitas, Cara went back to school and earned an M.Ed. in Autism and Behavioral Studies through Endicott College.
In 2018, Cara became the Director of the Day Hab program in Beverly. The Beverly program houses multiple models to fit the needs of all individuals including Life Choices, a creative program where participants are taught meaningful and essential skills for everyday living and Upward, a unique program tailored towards adults with Autism but no intellectual disability.
