Alyssa Fisher graduated from Fitchburg State with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. After graduation she began her career in disability services working with adults living independently with disabilities and fell in love with the human services field.

Alyssa started working at Communitas in 2016 after moving from Western Mass to the North Shore. Alyssa started as a Skills Instructor at the Beverly Day Program and has grown within that program ever since. She has served as a Lead Skills Instructor, Case Manager and Assistant Director. In August of 2021 Alyssa was promoted to Program Director of the Beverly Day Program.

Alyssa has shown great flexibility and creativity in her years working for Communitas. She uses the experiences she has had in her many roles to create a positive and open work environment for employees and her creative skills to keep programming fun and interesting for the individuals. Alyssa is currently working on her Masters in Mental Health Counseling and continuously uses her unique perspective to make sure the staff and individuals at program feel understood and comfortable approaching her with any challenges.
