The Human Rights Committee is currently seeking a clinical member to fill a vacancy. The human rights committee is comprised of volunteers (3 professional and 2 lay person) who meet once per quarter to review the agency’s system on human rights, to review any grievances or complaints, and to provide advice in their areas of expertise as it related to the rights of the individuals who receive services from our agency.

 

The requirements for the clinical member (per 115 CMR 3.09) is that they cannot be employed or otherwise financially tied to the agency, and they must be “a psychologist or masters level practitioner with expertise in intellectual disability and developmental disabilities, mental illness or applied behavioral analysis”.

  1. Is a psychologist or masters level practitioner with expertise in intellectual disability and developmental disabilities, mental illness or applied behavioral analysis
  2. Is not employed by or a paid consultant for Communitas
  3. Is passionate about human rights and advocacy for people with disabilities
  4. Would like to volunteer 1.5 hours every three months
